An archetypal English country pub with ivy clinging to its flint facade & wooden bench seating in a neat front garden not too far from Lewes.
No smoke-filled, timbered tavern, this – colours are light & bright, while a white cast-iron fireplace is adorned with flowers. Thin bookshelves & stripy furnishings even add a bohemian touch.
The Rainbow Inn offers fine dining in a relaxed pub atmosphere. The food is, wherever possible, locally sourced, seasonal and in the majority of cases organic or free range. In the shooting season the local estate supplies venison, pheasant, partridge and wild duck, amongst other things.
At other times items such as line caught seabass, crab and lobster are supplied by a small number of tried and trusted fishermen from the local Sussex coastline.
Apéritifs of your choice will be served.
